5 Star Wines | Asolo Prosecco Superiore DOCG | Brut | Millesimato 2018

The 5 Star Wines international wine competition organized by Vinitaly awarded our Asolo Prosecco Superiore DOCG | Brut | Millesimato 2018 with a score of 88/100. We are happy with this recognition, above all because the quality of the wines of the whole denomination Asolo and Montello DOCG is becoming increasingly higher and recognized in the world.

How this wine is produced:

Let's start with a meticulous sustainable agriculture carried out in our vineyards of Glera that come to have an age of 55 years. We do not use herbicides and desiccants for processing under the row, but we cut completely by hand.

The harvest of the grapes for the 2018 harvest began on the last days of August and ended the second half of September. We have separated our Glera vineyards into 9 plots of land according to location, altitude, exposure, age of the vineyard so that they can be treated, harvest the grapes, vinify them and store the wines separately.

After the alcoholic fermentation the various bases are assembled, in the Asolo Prosecco Superiore Brut Millesimato 2018 there are 3 different plots assembled together, the first is our most altitude vineyard with southern exposure, from where we produce the most savory and mineral base. The second is a steeply inclined area facing east, so great acidity and elegance. The last base comes from a 50-year-old vineyard on a slight slope with southern exposure, where we find the body and the fragrance.

After the assembly, it is passed to the foaming in autoclave for about 50 days, followed by filtration, bottling and slight refinement of about 20 days.
